As winter fades and the promise of spring dawns, we celebrate Presidents’ Day in all its patriotic glory. Some presidents have proved better than others, but 21 February is a day to reflect on what some of the nation’s greatest leaders have achieved over the years.
Some have led us through the establishment of this great country the patriots of there day knowing that they could start a better world for us to live in. Sacrificing everything to make their dream a reality.
Some have led us through some of the largest crisis to hit our country, both financial and physical ones.
Some have led us through the darkest of times in our country’s history, through multiple wars and acts of terrorism.
Some have led us through our greatest times of economic, social, and physical booms.
Some have even led us through a number of these all at once during their presidency.
Some established programs that have and continue to benefit us to this day, like President Franklin D. Roosevelt creating Social Security which our elders benefit so much from. As did President Lyndon B. Johnson when he signed into law legislation that established the Medicare and Medicaid programs. These programs have helped millions of Americans receive the much-needed healthcare benefits they need especially as they age, and they require skilled nursing care.
Today is a day to give thanks for the multitude of accomplishments these people have made to make our country the great place it is.
Thank You to all the great Presidents United State of America’s.
